Bridgemount Academy

...is a non-profit tributary of Shelton’s Primary Education Center which began serving children in 1971.  The campus is located in the Oakland Mosswood Community Center across from the main Kaiser Permanente hospital and business complex at Broadway and MacArthur Blvd.

We are committed to building bridges and climbing mountains with the children that are destined to be tomorrow’s leaders, scientists, teachers, and artists.  Our curriculum is designed to build respect and awareness of self and others, a spirited attitude towards learning and community involvement, and advanced academic achievement.  Our student’s, though not pre-selected for academic ability, typically perform above grade level and are high achievers after graduating.

Our mission is to build bridges, establish in children an appreciation of their uniqueness of their qualities and character, and their connectivity with other people and places throughout time and around the world.  We do this through a culturally enriched curriculum, field trips, community service, the internet, and an enriched social studies curriculum.

Our mission is to climb mountains, establish an academic foundation with high standards, refined skills, and meaningful goals with children regarding their development in language, reading, writing, math, science, and technology.  With success as the ultimate goal, we challenge all students to be and do their best as wholesome individuals.
